Position Summary

Required Skills/Experience:

We are careful to select people that have demonstrated excellence through their skills, character, and background:

ABOUT YOU:

The Real Estate & Development Coordinator will be reporting to the Director of Leasing and will be responsible & accountable to optimize the real estate portfolio for all real estate matters including lease. Legal administration and project coordination for both owned and leased real estate assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Identify cost savings through in-depth analysis of landlord/tenant invoices and effective lease interpretation and negotiate with landlords to ensure expenses are accurate, reasonable and in compliance with the terms of our lease agreements.

· Regularly maintain the property management data-base and update departmental reports to accurately reflect the company’s lease commitments and financial obligations to ensure informed decision making.

Job Description

Le Rues Chaitner & co is comprised of six investment professionals whose work is focused on investments in Financial Institutions, Real Estate backed and Securitization transactions in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of the credit quality of existing portfolio by monitoring assigned credits on a regular basis, providing updates of any major credit events and completing annual credit reviews.
  • Assist in evaluating new investment proposals, through preparing investment proposals for transaction approval.
  • Follow legislation changes, both nationally and globally to determine impact on the portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • An MBA, B. Comm or BA Economics. CFA candidate and/or an accounting designation is desirable.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills along with an ability to think strategically.
  • A solid understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Attention to detail is a critical success factor in this position.
  • Solid knowledge of PC applications (e.g. Word and Excel) and ability to retrieve credit information from online sources.

Our team dose use Portfolio turnover in our strategies is typically between 10 and 40 per cent, indicating that we hold stocks for an average of two to five years. We also do this because the relatively low turnover improves the potential for tax-efficient, compound growth. Low turnover also reduces trading commissions and fees.
